This article will help you to fill the option form for MBA CAP round 2014 and Understanding the Process, Procedures, rules regarding the submission of online form, number of preferences, eligibility for further cap round, and rules and procedure for counselling round.

STEP 1: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

General Instructions: Option Form filling Procedure

  • It is mandatory for all candidates to confirm the online option
  • The candidate will not be able to change the Options once it is confirmed.
  • Option form received through online submission only will be considered valid for further processing.
  • Candidate has to confirm the submitted on‐line Option Form himself/herself by re‐entering Application ID and Password.
  • The candidate has to fill the institute choice code against the option number in the online option form.
  • The candidate can take the printout of the confirmed Option form for future reference.
  • Maximum 100 options are made available in the online option form of CAP Round‐I, II.
  • The candidate can fill minimum 1 and maximum 100 options.
  • The choice code of the institute filled by the candidate in block No. 1 will be his/her first preference and vice versa.

STEP 3 READ RULES FOR CAP ROUND 1

1.candidates allotted with first preference  in CAP I

All candidates who have secured First choice allotment will not be eligible for subsequent CAP round irrespective of whether the candidate confirms the admission or not.

Names of such candidates will be automatically deleted from the subsequent lists of eligible candidates for subsequent CAP rounds.

Hence such candidates are advised to confirm the admission at the respective Institute as per the secured allotment in the CAP Round‐I .

2. Student not allotted with first Preference in CAP I

who have secured an allotment which is not first option
And
who are satisfied with the allotment of CAP Round‐I
And
who are no more interested in participating in subsequent CAP rounds

May confirm the admission by reporting at the respective institute. If such candidate confirms the admission, then they will not be eligible to participate in subsequent CAP rounds.

3. All such seats, on which the candidates have confirmed the admission on or before the last date of reporting of CAP Round‐I, shall not be available for allotment in subsequent CAP rounds.

STEP 4: FILL THE OPTION FORM

Fill the option form carefully and check accuracy of details filled before confirmation.

FOR CAP ROUND 2

Rules of Reporting for CAP Round ­II:

1.candidates allotted with first 7 preferences  in CAP II

All candidates who have secured Any one of the first Seven options will not be eligible for subsequent CAP rounds irrespective of whether the candidate confirms the admission or not.

The names of such candidates will be automatically deleted from the subsequent lists of eligible candidates for subsequent CAP rounds.

Hence such candidates are advised to confirm the admission at the respective Institute as per the secured allotment in the CAP Round‐II.

2. Student not allotted with first 7 Preference  in CAP II

ƒ who have secured an allotment which is not out of first Seven options
And
who are satisfied with the allotment of CAP Round‐III
And
who are no more interested in participating in subsequent CAP rounds

may confirm the admission by reporting at the respective institute. If such candidate confirms the admission, then they will not be eligible to participate in subsequent CAP rounds.

3. All such seats, on which the candidates have confirmed the admission on or before the last date of reporting of CAP Round‐III, shall not be available for allotment in subsequent CAP rounds.

Important Note:- All India candidates are not eligible to participate in the CAP round­III i.e. Admission by Counseling

FOR CAP ROUND 3™

Rules of Reporting for CAP Round III:  Counselling Round

ƒ1. Eligible candidates must report in‐person at the venue of “Center of Counseling Round” in order to secure admission in this round of admission strictly as per the notified schedule.

2. Candidate who reports late will not be allowed to participate in this round.

3. Candidate is required to pay processing fees of CAP Round‐III, Rs.100/‐ in cash at the Center of  Admission and obtain a receipt for the same.

4. The candidate will report as per schedule at the Center of Counseling Round along with the necessary original documents and carry part payment of non‐refundable fees of Rs.15000/‐ in the form of DD drawn on “The Director, Technical Education” payable at Mumbai.

ƒ5. Eligible Candidates who report to the Admission Center will be offered admission to available seat as per the inter se merit of candidates.

6. Candidates who secure admission in this round must confirm the admission on the spot by paying non‐refundable fees of Rs.15000/‐ (in the form of DD) and on producing necessary documents in original for verification.

7. The Center of Counseling Round will update the confirmation of the candidate’s admission on DTE website immediately.

8. Candidate will have to report later on to the respective Institute for paying balance fees (i.e. Total fees less Rs. 15000/‐) as per notified schedule. If the candidate fails to report to the Institute and pay the balance fees on or before the last date of reporting at the Institute then the candidate shall lose claim on the allotted seat as well on the Rs.15000/‐ paid by the candidate at the Center of Counseling Round.
