PGDFT, Post Graduate Diploma in Foreign Trade, is one of the Part time, post graduate diploma course in Pune University. In this article we have given the scope of PGDFT, Employement Oppurtunities, Subjects Included etc.

PGDFT is a one year part time Post graduate Diploma Course, which is divided into two semesters. Each semester have 5 external papers and one departmental paper for which grades will be given. All the papers are focused on the basis of Foreign Trade and Economics.

Scope of PGDFT:-

In today’s scenario every organisation both Government and Private sector are trying to find a place for them in global market, for which Import and export becomes mandatory. The changing economic policies and conditions demands experts in every organisation who could understand the change and direct the organisation according to the change.

PGDFT course is designed in such a manner that the candidate pursuing the course will be able to get a clear view about the global business scenario, import and export procedures, Policies and theories related to foreign trade etc. Hence the candidate when completing his PGDFT course will get abundant opportunities especially in private corporate sector.

There is a need for personnel who are aware of foreign trade, International financial procedures and policies at every level in almost all the private organisations involved in global business. Hence PGDFT attracts various employment opportunities especially in managerial level.

Eligibility Criteria:-

To get admission in PGDFT the candidate must possess any graduate degree with minimum 45% from any recognised University (40 % in case of reserved category within Maharashtra). The candidates who are appearing for final year graduation can also apply.

Admission Procedure:-

The admission procedure for this course is, the institutes providing this course will conduct their own entrance test and personnel interview. The candidates who have given their MAT/ATMA/CAT/XAT/NAT may get exemptions from written test.

12- Assignment and Project (Departmental Course)

Passing Marks

For all the external papers total marks will be 100 consist of 60 for external and 40 for internal. The passing mark is minimum 40 (16+24). And departmental course will also be of 100 marks which is completely internal and minimum passing marks is 40.
